About Robin Washington

Robin Washington is a native of the Washington, DC metropolitan area and is a victor and overcomer of both domestic violence and sexual abuse / assault.
In July 2003, a mandate given to her to help God's people who have been traumatized by domestic violence and sexual assault. Therefore, in 2008, Beginning Anew Ministries (a teaching, deliverance, healing and restoration ministry) was birthed; a ministry created and designed by God. It is to provide support and tangible resources to survivors to help them to rise above the circumstances of life and the negative experiences through educating, empowering, encouraging, equipping, and edifying them to rise above the circumstances of life and the negative experiences of abuse that has kept them in a dark place.
In February 2008, God changed the name of the ministry from A New Beginning Ministries to Beginning Anew Ministries. BegIt is also designed to educate and bring awareness to communities about the affects and impact of domestic violence and sexual assault on victims, families and the community as a whole. In addition to education and awareness, the desire of the ministry is to provide support, transitional housing, counseling, job training and placement, and a number of services or resources to women and children.
God called her into ministry July 13, 2008 and has sent her to testify of the gospel of His grace that delivers, heals and sets His people free from oppression.
Elder Washington is a victor, an overcomer of domestic violence and sexual abuse. God delivered her from the baggage that oppressed her as a result of these circumstances and negative experiences in her life. Through God's power she has been set free and healed from the baggage of abuse, low self-esteem, guilt and shame. Currently, she serves as an advocate for victims and survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault. She is compassionate about her service to victims and / or survivors of domestic violence and sexual assault.
The passion God has given her to reach hurting people, especially women and children in order to edify; to encourage; to help them realize and maintain their God-given identity; and to help them understand and fulfill their purpose in life, as the supernatural power of God transforms their lives and they begin to experience Him in a new way. That the teachings based on the unadulterated Word of God will bring His people into a position to know Him better and to experience His power of deliverance, power of healing, power of restoration and power to bring wholeness. That God's delivering and healing power is available only through Jesus Christ to all those who believe.
